December 2025. The festive spirit was in the air as St. Elias Banquet Centre in Ottawa transformed into a dazzling hub of hope and harmony. Our annual CHEO Charity Gala was upon us, a night dedicated to raising crucial funds for the incredible work done by the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. And this year, we pulled out all the stops to make it an unforgettable experience.
The theme of the evening was celebration – a celebration of the resilience of the children at CHEO, a celebration of the unwavering support from our community, and a celebration of the holiday season. From the moment guests arrived, they were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and generosity. The beautifully decorated hall shimmered with festive lights, setting the stage for an evening of entertainment, delicious food, and meaningful connections.

One of the highlights of the night was undoubtedly the incredible lineup of performers. We were incredibly honored to welcome the iconic Filipina singer, Joey Albert, whose powerful vocals and heartfelt performance captivated the audience. Her presence added a touch of magic to the evening, and her songs resonated deeply with everyone present.
Adding to the vibrant energy of the gala was the dynamic Art Motion Dance Studio. Their energetic routines and captivating choreography had everyone on their feet, clapping along to the infectious rhythm. The dancers brought a burst of youthful exuberance to the stage, perfectly embodying the spirit of hope and joy that CHEO represents.
But the cultural showcase didn't stop there. We were also treated to a mesmerizing display of traditional Filipino dances. The colorful costumes, intricate movements, and rich cultural heritage showcased the beauty and diversity of the Philippines, adding a special touch to the evening's festivities.
Beyond the captivating performances, the gala offered a variety of ways for guests to contribute to CHEO's vital mission. A bustling silent auction showcased an array of enticing items, from luxurious getaways to unique experiences, all generously donated by local businesses and individuals. Guests eagerly bid on their favorite items, knowing that their contributions would directly support the children and families at CHEO.
We were able to raise over $2000 for charity!
The 2025 CHEO Charity Gala was more than just an event; it was a testament to the power of community. It was a night where individuals came together to celebrate, to support, and to make a difference in the lives of children. The funds raised will go directly towards ensuring that CHEO can continue to provide world-class care to children in need.
